I wove the fabric for this fish from 100% cotton yarn. Using my own design, I cut and sewed the fabric and stuffed the fish.
Although it's difficult to see in the photos (the second photo shows it best), I wove horizontal strands of metallic blue thread along the body of the fish about 1/3" apart. As the viewer shifts from side to side, the shiny threads appear. The eye, mouth, fins, and tail are embroidered with blue cotton yarn.
The fish is attached to the plaque using floral wire.
The label on the back reads "Woven of 100% cotton yarn and embellished with metallic thread, this 12" trophy fish is a prize of which to be proud."
The wooden plaque is 16" x 6". The fish is approx. 12" x 7" at the longest points. The fish and plaque together are about 3 1/2" thick. I've attached two hangers on the back.
